Nova Scotia Healthcare Professionals Immigration Pilot (LETTER OF INTEREST)

Nova Scotia Healthcare Professionals Immigration Pilot (LETTER OF INTEREST)

In April 2023, Nova Scotia Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) drew Licensed/Registered Practical Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, and Registered Nurses from the Express Entry System based on a set of established criteria including language requirements, work experience requirements, and educational requirements.

These candidates are being asked to complete this survey to enable Nova Scotia Health and its partners to assess their eligibility for licensure and employment within the Nova Scotian health system.

Following the completion of the survey, Nova Scotia Health (NSH) will screen applications, interview verified applicants, and collaborate with the Office of Healthcare Professionals Recruitment (OHPR), the Department of Labour, Skills and Immigration (LSI), and community partners to establish next steps in eligible candidates’ pathways to immigration, settlement, licensure and employment in Nova Scotia.

This is not a Labour Market Priorities draw.

If you received a Letter of Interest from Nova Scotia in your Express Entry profile on April 11, 2023, you are invited to participate in the Healthcare Professionals Immigration Pilot.

If you wish to proceed, please contact the Nova Scotia Department of Health and Wellness by following this link: Expression of Interest Form – Nursing Professions in Nova Scotia.

You have to complete the survey above no later than 11:59 p.m. ADT, May 11, to participate in the Healthcare Professionals Immigration Pilot.

If you receive a valid job offer from the Nova Scotia Health Authority, you may apply to the Nova Scotia Nominee Program: Skilled Worker stream or the Atlantic Immigration Program.

Only candidates who receive a Letter of Interest from Nova Scotia in their Express Entry profile on April 11, 2023, are eligible to participate in the Healthcare Professionals Immigration Pilot.

If you are a healthcare professional but did not receive a Letter of Interest on April 11, 2023, you are encouraged to review Nova Scotia PNP’s programs here: Immigrate Here (novascotiaimmigration.com).

Your profile will continue to be included in the federal Express Entry pool. However, please note, if you participate in the Healthcare Professionals Immigration Pilot and are nominated under the Skilled Worker stream or endorsed under the Atlantic Immigration Program, you will NOT receive 600 points in your Express Entry profile.

Only non-Express Entry immigration pathways are used in the Healthcare Professionals Immigration Pilot.
