Sleeping in the dormitory is Kes 30 for the mattress and Kes 10 for the blanket. Self-contained rooms are Kes 500 a night.
If you’re there on a Sunday, service is for everyone.
No food but they give hot water so if you’re not dry-fasting you need to carry some sugar and coffee/cocoa. They have a shop where you can purchase a few stuff.
Katoloni provides no comfort at all. This probably explains past reviews which indicate that the hostels and ablutions are in dire condition. If you can, bring your own mattress and beddings. Probably part of the humbling experience but cleanliness would go a long way towards making Katoloni a better prayer centre.
On the flip side, it is probably by design to enable you focus on what took you there 😂, unless you get the self-contained room of course!

  1. Hi Eva, my name is William; for.many years I have had a dream of establishing a christian facility on the shores of Lake Victoria KE. I own a large parcel of lake front property on Utonga Peninsula. This dream was recently affirmed in a revelation not only to me but one of my spiritual elders. I would like to do something that qualifies international rating. The place will offer conferencing, prayer, recreational, retreat and wellness facilities. I would like to know better from you based on your knowledge of prayer centres in KE…what is missing out there, what niche can I fill? Please share your thoughts. Also do you know creative dedicated Christians who are architects and interior designers?
