Lebanon Visa Requirements for Kenyan Citizens

On this post, we look at Lebanese visa requirements for Kenyan citizens as of 2020.

Lebanon Visa Requirements for Kenyan Citizens

Kenyans visiting Lebanon for a short stay for tourism or study purposes require a visa.

But first, a disclaimer:

This post is based on my own an enquiry I made a while back form the embassy representative here in Kenya. Kindly use this as a guide. As much as I try to keep it as accurate as humanly possible, I take no responsibility for inaccuracies, mistakes or errors. Lebanese visa requirements change from time to time and some of the information here may be outdated by the time you will be reading it. Kindly check with the embassy websites for any updates. I also give no guarantee that you will be issued a visa by following my advise. Visa issuance is at the sole discretion of the officer who will handle your case.

The short stay tourist visa allows Kenyans to stay in Lebanon for up to 90 days. You are not permitted to work or access any publicly funded services e.g. a public hospital while in in Lebanon.

Lebanon Tourist / Short Stay Visa Requirements For Kenyan Citizens

  1. Valid original Passport
    – Photocopies of passport relevant pages
  2. One (1) application form duly completed & signed
  3. One (1) recent passport size photo
  4. An Airline’s print out on a return air ticket
  5. A confirmed hotel reservation from Lebanon, for Tourist purposes
    • You can make your Lebanon hotel booking online via aggregation sites e.g. Booking.com.
    • I love Booking.com as it has very many hotel selections that allow for allow free cancellations before a certain date and don’t ask for pre-payment.
    • This works especially in the unfortunate event that a visa is denied. Its also advantageous in that the visa may be granted all the same, but your circumstances change and you want to change hotels without cost implications.
    • I also use Booking.com to compare prices then head over to the hotel website to check if there’s a cheaper option before finalizing the booking.
  6. Signed letter from Employer stating purpose of travelling
  7. Signed invitation letter or formal notification from Company / Workshop / Seminar /
Conference explaining purpose of visit & addresses in Lebanon, indicating who is going
to pay for the expenses / accommodation
  8. Proof of sufficient funds or evidence of maintenance in host country
