Do Kenyan citizens need a visa to visit Bali Indonesia?

Yes. Since the start of Covid. Before it was not a requirement.

Indonesia Visit Visa (Single Entry)


​​​The single-entry visit visa is a type of visa for foreign citizen for a single visit to Indonesia. The visa is valid for 30 to 60 days. Once the visa holder arrived in Indonesia, the visa can be extended for maximum four times, with 30 days for each extension. The extension is given through the immigration offices in Indonesia.

Indonesia Visa Requirements for Kenyan Nationals:

  1. ​​​​Valid passport for at least 6 months beyond the date of arrival in Indonesia and at least 2 page on the visa section of the passport​
  2. Fully com​pleted and individually signed application form for each applicant (Download Form.pdf)
  3. 2 (two) coloured passport size photograph
  4. Invitation letter/Letter of recommendation (for Business/Social visit)​, which describes the purpose of the visit and guarantees all transportation and living expense that will incur in Indonesia​​​
  5. Evidence that applicant has sufficient funds to cover the cost of applicant’s Intended stay in Indonesia (Original Bank Statement dated not less than two months or traveler’s cheques)​
  6. Hotel booking
  7. Travel itinerary
  8. Original copy of yellow fever vaccination certificate​​

Note (please read carefully):
  1. The deposit for visa application cannot be refunded if you change your mind about continuing the application, or you choose to withdraw your application.​​

The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Nairobi issue visas for foreign nationals from Kenya, Uganda, Mauritius, Seychelles, Somalia and Democratic Republic of Congo, or other nationalities currently holding valid Kenya, Uganda, Mauritius, Seychelles, Somalia and Democratic Republic of Congo residences permit. For nationalities other than above mentioned, kindly submit your visa application via Indonesian Embassy in, or Indonesian Embassy accredited to your respective countries
  3. The granting of a visa is in effect only as a form of pre-entry clearance. It does not grant permission to enter Indonesia. The Indonesian Immigration authorities at the port of entry reserve the right to refuse entry into Indonesia​
