The Destination Canada Mobility Forum is an annual event organized by the Government of Canada.

It allows skilled French-speaking and bilingual candidates to learn about Canada’s diverse Francophone immigration programs.

The event also provides a setting that helps attendees expand their support network, including with representatives from provinces and territories, regions, municipalities and institutions, and actors devoted to building Canada’s Francophone communities.

Participation is free, but spaces are limited. You must register to get an invitation.

How to register and get invited to the Forum

Click here to apply for Destination Canada Mobility Forum March 2023.

The forum is for Francophone and bilingual candidates who are interested in living and working in French in Canada, outside Quebec.

Participation is free for all candidates, but the number of spots is limited.

Once you register, we’ll send you an invitation if you’re a bilingual or Francophone candidate who meets at least 1 of the following criteria:

  • you already have an Express Entry profile
  • you already have a Working Holiday permit through International Experience Canada
  • you meet the eligibility requirements for immigration to Canada outside Quebec
  • your profile matches the skills and experience Canadian employers are seeking

Destination Canada Mobility Forum will send you more details about your participation in the forum after they confirm your registration.

All registered candidates will have access to the virtual platform for 90 days following the forum to visit the booths, view presentations and videos, and download documents.

What to expect from the forum

The Destination Canada Mobility Forum will connect you with

  • representatives from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, who will explain Canada’s immigration procedures
  • representatives from Canada’s provinces, territories and Francophone communities, who will share information about their regions, cities, communities and immigration programs
  • people who will answer your questions about life in French in Canada (outside Quebec) and services offered to newcomers
  • organizations that evaluate your educational credentials and run approved language tests for immigration to Canada

You’ll also be able to attend conferences and workshops that will give you an overview of Canada.

After Destination Canada Mobility Forum in November 2022 focused on information and networking, at the start of 2023 the focus is on employment.

Recruitment activities targeting different sectors put Francophone and bilingual candidates in contact with Canadian employers. These activities are free and take place entirely online.

Canadian employers with vacancies in the identified sectors, in provinces and territories other than Quebec, are invited to submit their vacancies.

During registration, candidates introduce themselves to employers by completing a form, identifying the CNP code of their profession, uploading their bilingual CV in Canadian format and recording a short video presentation. If the profile is of interest to a participating Canadian employer, the candidate will be contacted for an interview which will take place online.

In parallel to the interviews between candidates and employers, a virtual information forum will be organized in order to provide an overview of the sector and explanations of the options regarding immigration.
